First of all, the speakers look awesome and aesthetical. They will certainly become the main point of your room. The construction quality is outstanding. I use them with a Yamaha RX-V6A receiver and the sound fills the room and is fully immersive. If you have an amplifier that can power these speakers, you are will be surprised. I connected NS-8390 to a Yamaha YTR 3067 amplifier. With 130 watts per channel from the amplifier, these speakers produce an excellent bass and clear mids and highs for its price. The included legs on which the speakers stand are also stable. These speakers are a real feast for the ears. The sound clarity and precision is incomparable. Whether it's the delicate details of classical music, or the thunderous thump of rock songs, these speakers manage it all with grace. Their crystal clear sound and deep bass have elevated my music and movie impressions to a completely NEW level. I'm so glad I bought them for my home theater. The Yamaha NS-8390 speakers have exceeded all my expectations. I would certainly recommend these speakers to anyone who wants so a lot sound for less money. Highly recommended!

Review

I bought these to replace my small tower speakers that I originally bought for home theatre. They have great sound and powerful bass, and I can finally turn the big centre speaker up louder so I can hear people talking and not overload the fronts like I did with the other set. I would still use a separate subwoofer to round out the sound, but if not, these have great bass, just not as loud and deep. The sound is decent, but they don't stay linear at rated power. They are more suited to classical music, anything with heavy peaks or levels like the newer products just warps those little paper cones and the ports get noisy on heavy transitions.
