Yamaha XDA-AMP5400RK “AMP” MusicCast Multi Zone Amplifier

Specifically designed for custom home audio system integration, the AMP model acts as an additional amplifier to the XDA-QS5400RK to increase the number of supported speakers and/or output power. It can also be used to increase the number of speakers to extend coverage in an additional zone in conjunction with Yamaha AV receivers that are equipped with zone pre-outputs.

The XDA-AMP5400RK amplifier, called the "AMP", was designed as a complementary device to the Yamaha XDA-QS5400RK to increase the number of speakers in a system and/or increase the power output in a home multi-room audio system with custom integration. It also works well with Yamaha AV receivers equipped with zone preamplifier outputs. The AMP utilizes ultra-efficient integrated circuits for eight channels of crystal-clear digital amplification rated at 50 watts per channel (8 ohms) with wide dynamic range, excellent frequency range from 5 Hz to 40 kHz (+0/-3 dB) and an excellent 108 dB signal-to-noise ratio. It supports 4 ohms impedance at 100 watts/channel and bridging up to 200 watts/channel (8 ohms).

Feed up to four sources into the Model AMP unit from the Model QS pre-outputs - four audio I/O buses can be combined together to handle a range of loudspeaker and zone configurations. The AMP model is supplied with a jumper and cable set, making it highly versatile from the outset. The audio outputs can also be used to connect active subwoofers or subwoofer amplifiers.
