DCD-1600NE - Super Audio CD player that takes disc playback to a new level.
Denon is one of the few manufacturers that continues to actively produce new Hi-Fi components, developing and implementing the latest technologies. When developing the DCD-1600NE, the goal was to achieve the highest parameters for a CD player: ultra-high disk reading accuracy and lossless audio transmission to the amplifier. To achieve this, the signal path is made as short as possible. Denon engineers also redesigned the disc Drive mechanism to eliminate vibrations , the main enemy of CD players. The result is an extremely vibration-resistant design and the information from the disk is read with impeccable accuracy. Then the signal is processed using Advanced AL32 Processing Plus technology and transmitted to the amplifier. In addition to regular CDs, the player plays back Super Audio CD discs and PCM192 / 24 and DSD5, andaudio recordings recorded on DVD-R /RW for access to the world of high-definition audio.
The DCD-1600NE uses Advanced AL32 Plus, the latest version of the analog signal processor, which uses unique data interpolation algorithms and also supports high-resolution signals. These interpolation algorithms allow you to approximate the received signal to the original analog sound by carefully restoring data that was lost during digital recording. As a result, the sound is reproduced in great detail, without interference, the sources are clearly localized in space, the sound is rich and expressive over the entire range and corresponds to the original as much as possible.
The performance of electronic components is degraded when they are subject to internal vibrations caused by the rotation of the disc, vibrations of the power transformer, or vibrations of the housing caused by sound pressure from the speakers. To protect the design of the player from such influences, Denon engineers developed a vibration suppression technology called "Direct Mechanical Ground". Power transformers, which are one of the main sources of vibrations, were placed at the bottom of the housing, where unwanted vibrations are transmitted through special supports outside the housing and prevent vibrations from affecting the circuit elements. In addition, the center of gravity of the disk Drive mechanism has been lowered. The low center of gravity effectively absorbs internal vibrations caused by the rotation of the disc, and also protects the mechanism from external vibrations.
In order to accurately synchronize digital data streams, the DAC Master Clock clock generator synchronizes all components of the digital path from a single signal source. The location of the pulse generator directly next to the DAC made it possible to reduce the impact of vibrations and ensure an unprecedented high accuracy of information transmission. In addition, the high quality of the clock generator itself is extremely important for unlocking the potential of the entire Digital-to-Analog Converter circuit. Thus, the DCD-1600NE oscillator can significantly reduce distortion and produce accurate and undistorted sound.
The DCD-1600NE is equipped with two clock generators for standard sample rates (44.1 kHz and 48 kHz), which completely eliminate jitter.
The power scheme of the DAC has also been significantly improved. The circuit used capacitors of the highest possible quality, which allowed to get very high performance and excellent transparent sound with a deep spatial scene.
When developing the DCD-1600NE, the concept of the shortest possible clock cycle was used to achieve maximum sound quality. The model's circuitry was designed "from scratch" to make the signal path as short as possible and ensure that the original sound is accurately reproduced by the system.
