The Diamond A2 Series from Wharfedale, Britain’s best-known loudspeaker brand, delivers wireless connectivity with a difference. Wharfedale Diamond A2 are active wireless floorstanding speakers that use a separate control hub to handle power and sources. This is the floorstanding version of the smaller Diamond A1 Active speakers. Wharfedale isn't the first company to produce wireless powered speakers but the majority of others require a cable to connect an active speaker to the passive sibling.

The Diamond A2 is a unique model of floor-mounted loudspeakers manufactured in England by Wharfedale, which belong to the updated line of Diamond Active speakers. Innovative technological solutions and high-end components were used in the design and manufacture, which resulted in high acoustic performance and perfect sound. Speakers are commonly used in home theater systems and multi-channel stereos.
The Wharfedale Diamond A2 System speakers look outwardly elegant and modern, and all thanks to a high-quality leatherette finish with a black or white facade. The case itself, which has an average size, is made of durable fiberboard panels. The box has high-quality damping, and all thanks to special internal screeds.

On the speakers, you can put on removable grids, which are attached using miniature magnets. At the rear, there is a round bass reflex output port and an input terminal with Coaxial, ToslinkOptical and stereo RCA inputs.

The Diamond A2 System floor speakers feature a 2.5-band acoustic configuration. The RF unit is represented by tweeter with a dome membrane made of silk and polymers. The speakers are also equipped with two woofers/Midrange speakers with cone-shaped kevlar diffusers made using Wharfedale proprietary technologies. The main emitters are loaded on the bass reflex, which guarantees accurate sound delivery without hum and noise, as well as a smooth linear frequency response.

The crossover's circuitry involves the use of high-quality components, thanks to which the Wharfedale Diamond A2 System floorboards guarantee full-fledged and powerful sound with control of each frequency band. The speakers deliver precise, deep and fast bass, guarantee a well-developed midrange and excellent sound in the high-pitched range. In addition to the existing cable inputs, the floor-mounted speakers can play audio signals when transmitted wirelessly over the Bluetooth aptX channel within a 20-meter radius.
