RME Babyface Pro FS is a high-end portable audio interface, an updated version of the Babyface Pro audio interface. The interface received a number of internal changes and improved specifications. It differs from the original version by the latest generation AD/DA converters and SteadyClock FS circuit used in ADI-2 Pro FS, which provides suppression of unwanted phase and frequency deviations of the signal. The model also gets a more powerful 90mW headphone amplifier, improved audio delay and a +19/+4dB switch to reduce the input signal level.
In addition, the signal-to-noise ratios on all inputs and outputs have been improved. The interface preamplifiers are digitally controlled and provide up to 65dB of gain. The model comes with TotalMix FX software mixer and a new development - TotalMix Remote, thanks to which you can remotely control the sound card from iOS, WIN and Mac devices. Among other things, the card now has a Kensington Lock connector.

It eats from the USB port. This is a plus and minus. The minus is that it always works when the computer is turned on. It was bothering me, so I used a USB hub with a switch. The manufacturer does not recommend this, but I did not notice any consequences.

It costs exactly your money. A very soundly assembled thing, while no extra buttons, a number of functions are regulated by both hardware and software. But to study the capabilities of the card, it was necessary to thoroughly study the instructions (in English) and materials on the Internet. I use the card in a home studio. For me personally, the huge advantage of this model was the opportunity to separately adjust the total volume of the headphones (that is, the original sound and the recorded, in particular voice) and the volume of only announcer speech. It works great with the number of samples 512 or 1024. My inner Esi Maya44 does not pull such a sound. I think to connect the sound from the computer to the receiver through it - according to optics.
