Quad Elite CDS CD Player Black
Elite CDS-stylish CD players of the famous British manufacturer Quad, which are an improved model of the famous 99 CD Player. The devices provide increased accuracy of reading information from disks in comparison with other players of this class.
The Quad Elite CDS players are made in a sturdy aluminum case. The devices have a strict, concise and modern design. On the front panel, there is a slot tray on the left for loading discs, on the right there is a small luminescent display indicator and some player controls.
Quad Elite CDS players are equipped with an upgraded transport mechanism with a servo system, so players can more efficiently recover data and correct errors when reading. The devices support branded audio discs and regular "blanks", guaranteeing the highest quality playback with almost zero errors. Data transmission is carried out via the standard QuadLink system bus, which supports all components of this Elite line. Audio signals are transmitted over a bus with a fully balanced structure, which ensures the highest possible sound quality and integrity. In general, the devices guarantee first-class sound when playing music of any format and genre, while providing a sufficiently deep and wide sound stage. For easy operation, a branded universal remote control is included in the package with the player.
For processing digital streams, the players are equipped with a clock generator, which additionally minimizes phase shifts (jitter) of signals coming to the Hi-End digital-to-analog converter in the form of a Crystal CS4398 chip with 24-bit / 192 kHz parameters with resynchronization function.

About brand
Quad
The history of Quad is one of technical achievement in the field of sound reproduction. It is a story that began with the Quad 1 amplifier, which brought the benefits of 15 years knowledge and experience in professional audio and industrial products to the task of making the most accurate domestic audio amplifier of its age.A few years later, in 1953, the product which set the standard for amplifiers was the Quad II Power Amplifier, the time of Queen Elizabeth’s Coronation and the year in which Mount Everest was finally conquered. This amplifier pioneered the principle of cathode coupling through the output transformer to reduce harmonic distortion to almost negligible levels. Such was its clear superiority that this model remained in production for 18 years. Three years later, in 1956, Quad demonstrated the first true full-range electrostatic loudspeaker. This remarkable product (known later as the ESL 57) used a virtually mass-less plastic film as a moving diaphragm between two charged plates. Compared with moving coil loudspeakers, the ESL 57 was free of unwanted colourations and distortions. This landmark product remained in production, virtually unchanged, for 28 years.
