Parasound has turned its most affordable preamplifier and DAC design into its most-affordable integrated amplifier and DAC by adding a 110-watt per channel power amplifier stage. The resulting NewClassic 200 Integrated Amplifier and DAC has all the same preamplifier features as the NewClassic 200 Pre, plus the ability to drive high quality loudspeakers without the need for a separate power amplifier. Like the 200 Pre, the 200 Integrated includes analog bass management for optimal performance with compact satellite speakers and a powered subwoofer. The amplifier stage is the latest design from the renowned Danish company Pascal.
Pascal’s expertise in class D engineering allows Parasound to cram a hefty 110 watts-per-channel RMS 8 ohms into the very slim 1U chassis. Parasound’s expertise in designing superb, full-featured preamplifiers ensures signal integrity by avoiding typical analog-to-digital conversion for volume control and special functions such as bass management, high pass and low pass crossovers.
The Parasound NewClassic 200 Integrated Amp is ready to bring you maximum enjoyment from your digital music files. It incorporates a very high quality state-of-the-art DAC using circuitry from the highly regarded Halo P 5 preamp. This DAC can process a wide range of digital sources with its coaxial and optical inputs accepting up to 192 kHz rates, and the USB input accepts up to 96 kHz. The NewClassic 200 Integrated Amp's Cirrus Logic Digital Receiver scrubs the digital clock to attenuate jitter not only for the USB but for all inputs. This enables its acclaimed Burr-Brown PCM1798 DAC to achieve outstanding, natural sound quality for all of your digital sources.

I like the many useful features, such as the volume setting when you turn it on, as well as the ability to adjust the levels of individual inputs. It has a great bass management system, including an adjustable high-pass filter to remove low frequencies from the main speakers that you pass to the subwoofer. Everything is adjustable with the remote control. I also think it sounds great!

The balance between the price of the Parasound NewClassic 200 and its option set is amazing. Moreower, sound quality is outstanding. I like precision, detail and neutrality, and this was a brilliant choice. NewClassic 200 delivers an extended and captivating soundstage, notable 3D stereo sound effects, and extraordinarily detailed and nuanced presentation. I have been using Parasound for almost 30 years. And all its components are great. I have used NewClassic 200 with Acarian Systems Alon 1 speakers and with Magnepan MMG speakers. The reliability of this Parasound is amazing. The 200 Pre amplifier has many inputs. There's USB, optical and coaxial, as well as a DAC section. There are three analog line stage inputs. INPUT 1 can be changed from the line stage to the input of a moving magnet phono stage or to the input of a moving coil phono stage. The gain in MM mode is 40 dB (impedance of 47 K ohms), in MC mode is 50 dB ( impedance of 100 ohms.) It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a set of bypass inputs for home theater. Also there is the input-multifunction control on the front panel. It allows me to control Bass, balance and treble. Also i can regulate the subwoofer output level. Also located here connectors for the 12-volt trigger, RS-232, IR port. The graphic display on the front panel includes a large volume indicator and information about the input selector. I can clearly see the volume settings and I like that because I can adjust the volume for only my taste. I would like to say that the remote control is very simple and easy to use. I don't even have to look at it when i regulate smth because my fingers just have to know the buttons. And i can listen to my favorite music even close my eyes.
