The Musical Fidelity M8S-500s high quality power amplifier is designed for fans of impeccable sound who cannot afford to place large units such as the M8-700, but still want to get impeccable sound quality and high output power. The M8-500s utilizes most of the engineering solutions developed for the older model.
Musical Fidelity M8S-500s is a fully balanced stereophonic amplifier made on the principle of "double mono" providing a maximum output power of 500 watts per channel at a load impedance of 8 ohms. The high quality of the novelty is evidenced first of all by a wide range of reproducible frequencies - 10 Hz-80 kHz, with the unevenness of the frequency response not more than ±1 dB.
Application of unique developments of the company, as well as optimization of circuitry allowed to obtain a value of harmonic coefficient at the level of 0.001% in the frequency range up to 1 kHz. At 20 kHz the harmonic distortion level does not exceed 0.005%.
Even at ultrasonic frequencies Musical Fidelity M8S-500s demonstrates very impressive values of this parameter - 0.02% at 50 kHz and 0.06% at 100 kHz.
Separately it is worth mentioning the extended dynamic range of the novelty. Thanks to this Musical Fidelity M8-500s perfectly copes with musical works of any genre.
