M6SI Chrome
In the Musical Fidelity M6Si amplifier, the developers have applied Surface Mount technology to the PCB. It allowed to reduce the length of printed conductors and thus reduce the level of noise induced on them. And the PCBs themselves became much more compact, which gave designers more freedom for their placement in the case. Another interesting solution is the use of separate monoblock power amplifiers for the left and right channels with separate power supply and a common monoblock preamplifier.
On the front panel of the amplifier there are separate buttons for activating each input port with LED indicators. The volume control placed in the center of the front panel has a classic design with a massive round knob. Musical Fidelity M6si comes with a rather ascetic remote control, so you probably won't leave your fingerprints on the amplifier's control panel. However, the developers have carefully included a pair of gloves in the package.
Musical Fidelity M6Si new generation full amplifier built on the scheme of "double mono" became a practical embodiment of Musical Fidelity's idea "Only music and nothing extra". This powerful amplifier was designed in accordance with the concept of a minimalist approach to circuitry with the highest possible quality of components. Structurally, the complete Musical Fidelity M6Si amplifier consists of three independent sections: a preamplifier, including a digital-to-analog converter with its own stabilized power supply, and two separate power amplifiers, each containing its own rectifier and filter. Designed to power the preamplifier and the two terminated amplifiers, the single toroidal transformer contains four independent windings.
