Musical Fidelity LS 3/5 A Classic Monitor Speaker
The LS3/5A is one of the most famous loudspeaker designs of the last 50 years. Originally designed for professional use it was quickly picked up as a favourite in recording studios, particularly when monitoring classical recordings. However, it's passionate audiophiles who have really kept this design relevant over the years.
The Musical Fidelity LS3/5A is designed to be as close to the original design as possible, and the result is a two-way closed cabinet speaker that convinces with its clear and fast playback. Of particular note is its extremely detailed and realistic midrange, but be prepared for a surprise when you realise how much low-end information it's still able to deliver. The whole sound stage and imaging of vocals and instruments is truly extraordinary.
The LS3/5A works best in a near/mid-field listening distance between two and four meters away from the listener, and its size makes it particularly friendly for small rooms. It's also the perfect match for another audiophile icon - the Musical Fidelity A1 amplifier. When combined in this way the result is an astonishing clear, detailed and warm sound stage.
