The Gold FX has been designed to immerse the listener in a compelling surround sound experience. Monitor Audio’s premium driver technology ensures an unforgettable audio performance. A compact, discreet design, yet able to pack in two MPD high-frequency transducers and two 4" (100 mm) mid/bass C-CAM drivers, Gold FX can be flush-mounted and can function in either bi-pole or di-pole modes at the flick of switch. Monitor Audio are masters of the effects speaker, and the Gold FX represents the state of the art.
With a surface six times greater than a normal 1” (25mm) gold dome tweeter, the MPD (Micro Pleated Diaphragm) High Frequency Transducer greatly improves power handling and reduces distortion. High frequencies are delivered with utter realism and finesse.
Refined over many years by Monitor Audio, Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium is used as a driver cone material for all the speaker designs from the mid-market models up. Originally developed by the aerospace industry for jet engine components, C-CAM's properties are ideal for loudspeaker cones being extremely rigid, yet light enough to yield high overall efficiency. C-CAM bass drivers are able to resist the bending distortion imposed by sudden and extreme bass excursions to reproduce very clean, deep and dynamic bass frequencies.
A loudspeaker cabinet has to blend easily with your interior, and it has to facilitate exceptional sound. The Gold FX cabinets are braced and damped with microscopic accuracy, ensuring ultra-low colouration and the most natural sound possible. All while looking like a high-end piece of furniture.
