McIntosh Wall Speaker WS300
The McIntosh WS300 Wall Mounted Speaker System is a speaker that can be adapted for a variety of custom home stereo and home theater installations. This model pairs well with the Mcintosh MI254 and MI128 multi-channel amplifiers.
For multi-channel home theater, it coordinates with the WS500 in-wall speaker system and is an ideal center channel speaker when the WS500 is used for the front left and right speakers, or an entire home theater can be equipped with the WS300 for front, center and surround speakers. In either case, the addition of one or more CS200 ceiling speakers, which also coordinate by voice with the WS300 and WS500, is sufficient to complete the home theater.
The WS300's three-way speaker system is fully enclosed and delivers incredible performance in any environment, while the controlled air chamber minimizes distortion and uneven response. It features one 8-inch woofer, two 2-inch midrange drivers with inverted titanium dome and one 3/4-inch diameter titanium dome tweeter. The woofer features a new shallow design that fits standard 2x4 walls for easy installation. The woofer utilizes a high power long-throw design with a molded carbon reinforcement cone and molded elastomeric suspension for high linearity.
The grille is magnetically attached and easily removable, plus it can be painted and leaves virtually no visible edges of the mounting flange, so the speaker is virtually indistinguishable from its surroundings.
