Linn's innovative integrated speakers have power and intelligence built-in. A specially designed module, suspension-mounted on the back of each speaker, houses the best of our in-house technologies to optimise performance and give you a deeper insight into your music.

And while every room has its own effect on your music, Akudorik utilises our patented Space Optimisation technology to optimise performance based on the acoustic properties of your room and your desired speaker placement. Now you don't need lots of hi-fi separates to make great sound.
 

The solution is a speaker that doesn't follow any conventional rules and yet makes so much sense when you see and hear it. The Exakt version uses the stand to house the amps and Exakt electronics, while the Passive version can be upgraded using this same stand, or using external amps and a Linn Exaktbox. Whichever route you choose, you'll hear a performance that will confound your perception of what's possible from a compact stand-mounted loudspeaker. Providing a musicality and distortion-free performance that's off the scale, this is a stand-mounted speaker like no other. The elegantly curved, rigid cabinet houses a high quality bass driver and Linn 3K Driver Array, providing the musical accuracy you'd expect from Linn. However it's how each drive unit is fed a near perfect signal that sets this speaker apart. The innovative stand houses the Exakt digital crossover, volume control, Linn DACs and power amplification, with a dedicated channel for each of the four drive units. Signals are passed from stand to speaker using a unique 4-way connection through the base of the cabinet, so you won't see any messy wiring despite the complexity of the electronics. Katalyst DAC Architecture then converts these signals with an unprecedented level of control, ensuring a deeper insight into your favourite music. Just add a Linn DS or DSM with Exakt Link and you have a complete music system that preserves the original sound like no other compact speaker can.

Space Optimisation Using sophisticated acoustic modelling, Space Optimisation builds a complete picture of how your speakers, their placement, and the unique characteristics of your room interact to affect the sound you hear. By removing the unwanted distorting effects of your listening environment, it reveals the true sound of the music. Katalyst Linn's new DAC architecture performs digital-to-analogue conversion with greater precision than ever. Katalyst delivers our best digital-to-analogue-conversion by controlling the critical elements that lie at the heart of the analogue signal's creation. 3K Driver Array Three drive units — mid, tweeter and super-tweeter — are housed in a single rigid, die-cast chassis. By minimising the distance between drive units, a single-point sound source is created, which together with the acoustic ‘skoop’, produces exceptionally wide dispersion for precise and consistent high frequency performance throughout the room. Integrated Exakt Modules Linn's integrated speakers have amplifiers and Exakt electronics on-board, delivering incredible performance in an elegant package.

Built-in to each stand is an intelligent, networked module that's suspension-mounted to acoustically isolate it from the rest of the speaker. Connected to a Linn network music player using Exakt Link, the module is fed a digital signal, which is split by the Exakt digital crossover into the precise frequencies required for each drive unit. Exakt’s powerful processing ensures the perfect time alignment of every frequency played by each drive unit, preserving the natural sound of every instrument. Precisely Crafted Cabinets Linn’s speaker cabinets combine master craftsmanship with advanced materials and manufacturing techniques to produce beautiful, high performance acoustic enclosures. The complex laminated cabinet construction is pressure-formed to produce the distinctive curved design while providing an exceptionally rigid shell for the drive units to operate with minimised resonance. Carefully placed internal bracing provides added rigidity and an acoustically inert enclosure for stable mounting of the drive units.
