DL-103
The original Denon moving coil cartridge design. Designed in 1964 and still in production today, due to its sleek, simple design, quality sound and reliability.
The Denon DL-103 has a moving coil and provides a signal voltage of 0.3 millivolts. This head is recognized as one of the classic models in this segment of the Hi-Fi market, and is widely used by music lovers around the world as part of high-quality turntables.
It has a spherical needle with a 16.5 micron radius, and has very precise tracking, allowing for accurate tracking even on worn records.
The pickup has a single-point suspension and a double needle holder design that provides good protection against resonances. The Denon DL-103 head is easy to mount on tonearms, and is quite simple to set up. With a weight of 8.5 grams, this head can be balanced by counterweights, which are standard on most vinyl turntables.
The head has a black body made of anti-resonance material that effectively dampens parasitic vibrations that can lead to deterioration of sound quality. Gold-plated contacts are provided for connecting tonearm cables, ensuring reliable contact and optimal audio signal transmission throughout the head's operation.
