The B&W T7 wireless speaker system is designed in a shallow cabinet and has a very attractive appearance. The speaker will perfectly fit into the interior of the bedroom or kitchen, and will not take up much space on the shelf or table. The speakers' unusual design is provided by the Micro Matrix design, which is similar to the B&W high-end speakers in the 800 series. Of course, in this case, the matrix structure is proportionally reduced, but it still fulfills its function: it dampens the parasitic vibrations of the walls and any resonances that can color the sound.
The speaker system is equipped with a pair of full-range drivers, which have been specially designed for this model. The speakers are mounted on a steel chassis that does not resonate even at maximum sound volume. To extend the bass range to accommodate the shallow depth of the B&W T7 case, it uses a pair of passive square woofers with a large diaphragm area. The system is equipped with an efficient Class-D amplifier that delivers 2x 12 watts of output power and a DSP that provides a balanced and wide stereo picture.
The B&W T7 has a Bluetooth receiver with support for the advanced aptX audio codec, which makes it possible to obtain sound quality comparable to CD-Audio when transmitting a signal from compatible gadgets. Another advantage of this model is its portability - the B&W T7 is equipped with a built-in lithium-ion battery, which lasts for about 18 hours of operation at an average sound volume. There are several LEDs on the side of the system to monitor the remaining battery power. The device is very easy to use, and on its top panel there are only a few buttons for starting/stopping playback of songs, adjusting the volume, as well as connecting with a wireless source.
