Bowers & Wilkins Ceiling Speaker CCM684
Junior in the CI 600 series of 8-inch ceiling speakers, the 2-way B&W CCM684 features a fiberglass woofer and a soft dome tweeter in a compact circular ceiling chassis. Like other 8-inch speakers, the tweeter can be rotated to adjust the emission at high frequencies. There's also an EQ switch and QuickDogs pop-up feet for easy installation. The main unit includes a plastic case and speakers and a crossover fixed in it. The midrange and bass are the responsibility of a large 8-inch driver, whose diaphragm is made of braided fiberglass, which is a dense, light and rigid material. This allows you to achieve a clearer and more balanced sound. In the center of this driver is the load tube of an inch tweeter equipped with a soft dome membrane. Moreover, this tweeter is slightly off-center and can rotate 15 or 30 degrees, allowing it to be precisely aimed at the listener. In order to match the directionality of the tweeter and midwoofer, B&W engineers installed an equalizer made in the form of a three-position slide switch.
