The B&W CCM682 is a high-quality ceiling speaker with a mounted Kevlar woofer and a sturdy die-cast basket, as well as an aluminum dome cone with Nautilus spiral load tubes that can be rotated to adjust the emission at high frequencies. In addition, it has selected components in the crossover, gold-plated terminals and a three-position EQ switch. The tweeter in the B&W CCM682 has an aluminum dome and is loaded on a tapered tube whose shape has been optimized for concentric driver placement. The tube here is coiled into a spiral, supplemented by a sound guide with a special, optimized method of computer modeling. As a result, the positive impact of the Nautilus acoustic design on the sound quality of the tweeter has been fully preserved, and in terms of the degree of detail and naturalness of the sound, the B&W CCM682 can compete with many cabinet hi-fi speakers. The tweeter in these speakers has a rotary holder, which allows them to optimize their polar pattern depending on the specific placement conditions. The speakers are also equipped with a three-position frequency response switch, which can be used to equalize the frequency balance of the sound outside the acoustic axis in case of tilting the squeaker relative to the bass.
