I got a chance to test these speakers in 5.1.2 mode. My R600's are still being delivered so my fronts are two 10 year old Sony 4-way towers, I have 2 sets of Polk OWM3's as surrounds and atmospheric ceiling mounted speakers. Onkyo receiver and I run room EQ before playback. This system is used primarily as a home theatre system for watching movies. The first film I tested was "Batman" on 4k Blu-ray. The voices of the actors are so clear and the dialogue in the movie sounds clear and effortless to the speakers. Aside from the dialogue, these speakers completely outperform my old sony front speakers, so much so that I even forgot I had them. They pair well with the OWM3 as the sound moves around the room. Massive in size and sound, but do a great job of delivering music and films with precise detail. It brings everything around it to life. No, really, live recordings sound like live sets in a small room. This is the first speaker that reminded me that the piano is a percussion instrument and that drummers use many instruments. Each one is heard clearly and perfectly balanced. Keep in mind how big this speaker is and how heavy it is. It would be hard to find a better centre in this price range.

It will be a great addition to the home theater. I took the Polk Audio T50 for the set to the frontal acoustics, the result is noticeable: the dialogs became cleaner, they “came to life”, no extra noise and left -wing bubbing. I got a voluminous sound in configuration 3.0, and the whole set sounds better than soundbars for the same money.
