Rhino Entertainment Company (Rhino Entertainment Company) is an American specialty record label and production company founded in 1978. It is a property of Warner Music Group.
In its early days, in the 1970s and 1980s, Rhino was a humor record and reissue company; it released compilations of music in the pop, rock and roll and rhythm and blues genres, enjoying success from the 1950s to the 1980s. It was also known for releasing retrospectives of famous comic actors and musicians. In the late 1980s, Rhino gradually changed the profile of its activities, beginning to specialize mainly in the reissue for home video (on videocassette and then on DVD) of recordings of television programs and series, as well as the release on CDs of albums by certain artists and film soundtracks.
