Speaker Box 5 S2 is characterized by its spacious and detailed sound. The 25mm silk dome tweeters deliver crystal-clear highs, the 130mm fiberglass cones output full-bodied and lush mids as well as punchy, tight bass. The MDF cabinet is both rigid and effective in terms of resonance control. Manufactured in Europe with the highest quality materials, the speaker enclosures are meticulously assembled disallowing sound leakage (glue is eco-friendly).
The recommended amplifier power rating is 10-150W RMS. Keep in mind that as for any speaker, the higher the power of an amplifier, the lesser the distortion at lower volumes. Low-power amplifiers can harm less robust loudspeakers, but Speaker Box 5 S2s are versatile such that you can expect fantastic response at 4 or 8 ohms without risk.
Now that Debut Carbon EVO is flourishing in the hi-fi community, Pro-Ject have added the following 8-coat satin-painted finishes in addition to real-walnut & eucalyptus veneers: black, blue, green, white & yellow.
