The Pro-Ject Phono Box DS3 B is a fully balanced phono stage for MM and MC cartridges. Using a balanced connection provides detailed and neutral sound. The Phono Box DS3 B's audio circuitry is made entirely on discrete components to eliminate distortion. The RIAA correction circuits in the model are passive to meet the exact standards of the high-end format.
To improve sound quality, the circuit is made on discrete components according to the principle of double mono. This allows you to get a minimum level of distortion and a wide stereo picture. Passive RIAA correction provides the most accurate frequency response tuning and phase distortion-free.
The Pro-Ject Phono Box DS3 B MM/MC phono stage has a wide range of input settings. This ensures compatibility with a variety of cartridge models. On the front panel of the device there are buttons for setting the input capacitance and gain. You can connect two pickups (MM and MC) to the Pro-Ject Phono Box DS3 B at the same time – the input parameters for each are stored in memory.
The phono stage is equipped with 5 pin Mini XLR and RCA connector inputs. Outputs include XLR and RCA connectors. In order to take full advantage of the balanced connection in a phono stage, the turntable must also be equipped with a balanced output. However, the Pro-Ject Phono Box DS3 B is also compatible with players with unbalanced RCA outputs. To connect the phono stage to a compatible turntable, use the 5 Pin input of the mini XLR.
The device is made in a case made of steel and aluminum. This design is responsible for high durability and protection against interference. The Pro-Ject Phono Box DS3 B is powered by an external power supply. This allows you to protect its circuitry from electrical interference.
