The CP-WT140LCR model is designed as a multi-purpose LCR speaker. Ideal for installation as a dedicated centre-channel home theatre speaker, and in portrait or landscape orientations as a high performance music or theatre satellite. The entry-level CP-WT140LCR utilises twin 4" MMP II drivers astride a C-CAM tweeter. Working in tandem, the drivers offer greater radiating area than a single 6" bass driver, and consequently deliver improved efficiency, power handling and sound pressure levels from a compact design perfect for retro-fit installation.
C-CAM Gold Dome Tweeter
The Gold Dome tweeter is formed from a ceramic-coated aluminium/magnesium alloy, gold anodised to a specific thickness for ideal stiffness and damping characteristics. Its profile and surround geometry have been developed using advanced modelling tools, to provide the optimum qualities for accurate sound reproduction.
MMP II Bass Drivers
Metal Matrix Polymer driver cones have a polypropylene base loaded with metallic particles to offer a rigid and responsive structure. They are manufactured using a sophisticated high-pressure injection process, which modulates cone thickness at critical points to optimise stiffness and consistency, resulting in a superior sonic performance.
Tri-Grip Dog Fixings
All Controlled Performance models feature a unique Tri-Grip fixing design. This 4-position 'dog' style fixing provides a greater contact surface area than other types, whilst saving installation time. The Tri-Grip fixings are made from a tough re-enforced polymer, giving a secure fixing without the risk of over-tightening.
