The WS500 in-wall speaker is a versatile speaker suitable for custom installation for both 2-channel home audio and home theater applications as front, center or surround speakers. This speaker is ideal for use with MI128 or MI254 distribution amplifiers, as well as WS300 wall speakers and CS200 ceiling speakers - both of which are matched to sound smooth and cohesive. In home theater applications, it works well with of A/V processors and multi-channel amplifiers.
The WS500 three-way speaker system is fully enclosed for incredible performance in any environment, while the adjustable air chamber minimizes distortion and uneven response. It features two 6.5-inch woofers, two 2-inch midrange drivers with inverted titanium dome, and one 3/4-inch titanium dome tweeter. The woofer features a new shallow design that easily installs into a standard 2x4 wall mount. The woofer utilizes a long range, high power design with molded carbon reinforced cones and a molded elastomeric coating for high linearity. The midrange and tweeter are the same drivers used in XR50 and XR100 home speakers and deliver the same level of performance.
The grille magnetically attaches for easy removal. The grille is also paintable and will leave little to no visible edge of the mounting flange so the speaker can virtually disappear into its surroundings.
