I have had many quality receivers over the years. Some I really liked, some were just good. I bought this BasX MR1 just out of curiosity. But was just blown away by its power and performance. The biggest improvement I think is the bass reproduction. The heat dissipation is awesome. What I like about the MR-1 is that the Emotiva really and truly provides an easy pass through on video. The layout of the speaker terminals is pleasing - black on white text makes life much easier. Overall, great performance, does everything it claims to do very well.
