Integration with NAIM devices as a single storage of music files for all devices

The device serves as a single repository of sound files and will be primarily interesting to those who own several NAIM devices. For example, Naim Mu-So, MU-SO QB, Naim Uniti Atom, Naim Uniti Star and other devices supporting UPNP playback.
In my case, all of the listed devices are available in the house and are located in different rooms. Naim Uniti Core acts for them a single storage of music files. This allows you to easily create Playlist’s from music files stored in various folders on the Naim Uniti Core and play them on any NAIM devices located in different rooms. For example, a child in his room listens to fairy tales, in the kitchen-living room other family members prepare dinner and listen to their chosen compositions placed in Playlist’y, and you listen to your favorites in your room on the Naim Uniti Star.
Music loading in the Naim Uniti Core is carried out in two ways:
A) Rip your CD. Naim Uniti Core performs CDs on the inner disk (purchased separately, SSD or HDD. At the end of 2020, there are no problems with the place on the disks, it is worth considering SDD) in WAV or FLAC format (for your choice). It is connected through the Internet to the database and prescribes automatically metadata (performer, album, composition name, etc.);
B) downloading files over the network to the folder \ downloads \. I used this method, because I have a large collection of music in WAV and FLAC formats;
C) download/playing files from USB carriers;
The moderator of musical content can be one person who will load music for the whole family into one storage.

Of the minuses, I only note the limited work with WAV format, due to restrictions on the support of metadata in it. With FLAC and MP3 formats (if someone is required) there are no such difficulties.
In my case, I had to convert WAV in FLAC, and then in a separate program on a laptop, prescribe all tags (metadata) to ensure further indexation and the possibility of searching for Naim Uniti Core.
If someone needs it, then you can connect a good DAC or an amplifier with built-in DACs to the NAIM Uniti Core, and use as another music playback device, installing it in another room.
Ultimately, we get a good multiple, which allows you to reproduce Playlist’i from your favorite compositions on all devices in the house. And if someone needs it, then synchronously on all devices, if in the Party house.
