Audeze has expanded its range of headphones for gamers. by launching the Penrose wireless planar magnetic model. The headphones are designed specifically to work with the Microsoft Xbox X and Sony PlayStation 5 game consoles.
The device can be connected wirelessly to the USB port of a game console or computer: high-quality communication via the 2.4 GHz channel, suitable for transmitting audio tracks and voice without loss, is provided by the included USB transmitter. There is also a Bluetooth 5.0 module with support for SBC and AAC codecs – it can be used in parallel with the main communication channel to play music from mobile gadgets and manage headphone settings using the Audeze HQ application.
100-mm planar-magnetic emitters provide exceptional detail and high accuracy in recreating the sound picture. Thanks to the soft ear pads with memory effect and closed acoustic design, the headphones can be used comfortably for a long time. An effective acoustic filter reduces the level of external noise by 20 dB and, thanks to which the player's speech in a chat or stream sounds as clear and legible as possible. The microphone on a flexible leg is equipped with a professional-grade capsule.
